Keep Australians Working – Australian Made Campaign
Sutton Tools is one of 3 companies chosen to feature in this year’s Australian Made, Australian Grown (AMAG) ‘Keep Australians Working’ campaign.
The AMAG campaign aims to highlight and promote the inherent connection between products made and grown in Australia and keep Australians employed.“ When you buy Aussie-made and grown products, you can be sure there are Aussie jobs behind them,” said AMAG CEO, Ian Harrison.
The AMAG campaign launched on national TV last Sunday on Channel 10’s The Project, features real workers from a wide range of industry backgrounds including one from Sutton Tools.
Broadly, the message is:
“You can by this premium-quality Australian made drill bits, or for a bit less, you can buy an imported one and put me out of a job.”
Chris Lethlean, who is featured in this commercial started as an apprentice tool maker and has been working for Sutton Tools for 13 years. For others, Sutton Tools has been their only job for their entire career.
For Sutton Tools, the Australian Made logo not only promotes jobs, it is a mark of quality:
“My great grandfather started Sutton Tools in 1917, he liked to do things properly.” Said Peter Sutton – Chief Manufacturing Executive of Sutton Tools.
Consumers want to buy Australian because they know the product commonly exceeds their expectations and will be made to Australian standards, and they know that by buying Australian they are helping keep jobs in Australia.
“Today, Sutton is manufacturing precision cutting tools, met the international standards and exported throughout the world.”
When buying Sutton Tools products that carry the Australian Made logo (the most trusted and recognised symbol for products that are truly Australian), you can buy with confidence, knowing they are World Class Cutting Tools, they are Australian Made and they are Affordable.
